FINE ARTS
Explore. Create. Perform.
Lake Highlands Middle School students have opportunities to explore the performing arts through Band, Choir, Orchestra and Theatre. These programs give students the opportunity to develop their skills, perform for their community and be part of the creative life of LHMS.
Whether performing on stage, singing with an ensemble or playing in a concert, our fine arts students represent LHMS throughout the year. There are performances and events throughout the school year across all four fine arts programs. Check the individual program calendars above for concert, performance and event dates.
BAND
LHMS Band gives students the opportunity to develop their musical skills, perform as an ensemble and experience the teamwork that comes with being part of a band program.

Instrument Rentals
Students are responsible for obtaining their own instruments. We recommend renting from Caraway Strings or Brook Mays Music, as both are familiar with the LHMS Orchestra program and can help ensure students receive the correct instrument and required supplies. If you are unsure about your child's instrument size, please contact Ms. Martinez before renting.

Please note: We strongly recommend avoiding instruments sold through Amazon, Walmart or other online retailers. While these instruments may appear budget-friendly, they are often poorly made, not built to last and, in some cases, may not be playable. Choosing an appropriate, quality instrument can make a significant difference in a student's learning and progress.
