One of the greatest strengths of our LHMS is our supportive and involved community. Parent involvement is essential to student success, and I value the partnership we share in helping your child grow academically and personally. You can support your child by: 1. Emailing me with questions or concerns. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response during the school week. 2. Contacting me first if a concern arises so we can work together to resolve it. 3. Scheduling appointments, whenever possible, at varying times so your child does not repeatedly miss the same class. 4. Ensuring your child arrives each day with the required supplies and ready to learn.
Anything else you want to include?:
Celebrate effort, growth, and perseverance, not just grades. Learning is a process, and mistakes are an important part of that process especially transactions into 6th grade. Also encourage your child to read at home each day. Even 20 minutes of independent reading has a significant impact on vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.

We use a lot of SD cards and adaptors in my class and they often go missing or break so more of those are always welcome! We also do movies and videos later in the year so any old costumes or dress up materials that could be donated to make those more engaging would be so appreciated!

Make sure your student is submitting projects on time and ask them what they are doing in class. AV Tech is very project based so it would be fun for parents to know what their student is working on.
