There are two ways to participate:
Test your mad chili skills!
Put together a team and enter your secret recipe chili into the judging - if you dare!
Judging will be for Best Chili (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Best Booth (1st, 2nd, 3rd), Best Costumes (1st, 2nd 3rd) and Best Add-On Menu Item (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
Not up to the chili challenge?
Buy a ticket, come sample all the amazing varieties of chili and enjoy a great party with Lake Highlands friends new and old!
T-shirt included in ticket price!

This is an adults-only event.
No weather make-up date. Event will take place regardless of crazy weather.
Team Details
Each of the teams cooks up 2-gallons of chili to be served and comes up with a creative theme for their booth - the more creative the better! Get your inspiration from popular movies, childhood crazes, neighborhood traditions, etc. Go all out with costumes and decorations to really sell your theme.
Each team provides their own decorations, canopy tent, equipment to heat the chili and keep it heated, general clean-up supplies for small spills, and 2-gallons of chili. Serving cups for chili will be provided.
Please note: Depending on community participation teams may be required to provide 3-gallons of chili. That will be determined in 2026, closer to the event date.
Teams entry fee includes 8 tickets. Spouses of team members must purchase full-price tickets if they are not members of the team.
